Austrian Power Magazine StromLinie features Sauerbrunn Hydro Plant

March 9, 2023

next-incubator, the innovation hub for energy sustainability Styria, completed a pilot project with Natel Energy. Green Power GmbH, the power generation arm of Energie Steiermark, was responsible for the concrete implementation of the project.

“An important strength of this turbine is its fish friendliness. Almost one hundred percent of the fish that enter the turbine stay unharmed. The second important strength is that the turbine can be adapted for small bodies of water with low and head. Simple assembly solutions also lower building costs. In this combination it is very innovative,” explained Andreas Fürst of Green Power GmbH.
