In this preliminary study conducted at Natel's in-house fish passage testing facility, rainbow trout 25-30 cm in length passed through the 55 cm diameter RHT operating at 667 rpm and at a simulated hydraulic head of 10 m.

The results of the study demonstrate that the RHT is an effective way to pass juvenile alosines downstream at hydropower facilities.
