Natel was selected to conduct a design feasibility study to assess the benefits of retrofitting existing turbines at the St. Lawrence-FDR Power Project with FishSafe™ RHTs.

The Cleanie Awards® announced that Natel won bronze in the 2022 Clean Energy Startup Company of the Year category. The RHT was also recognized as a Pioneer in New Technology finalist.

With a name appropriately coined from the phrase “natural electric,” Natel is focused on enabling a distributed or decentralized hydropower model featuring a large number of smaller projects.
