This project replaces the existing Kaplan unit with a FishSafe™ Kaplan runner, new discharge ring, and runner housing fairings. The project uses the existing generator, and there is no change to the civil works.
This runner upgrade project will use the existing generator, discharge ring, and civil works, requiring only the modification of some guidevanes. The project will provide downstream passage for American eel.
This FishSafe™ Francis runner will require no change to the existing civil works and will not change power output but will allow downstream passage for eel.
