Upgrade project requiring downstream passage for eel, shad, and salmonids. This fixed pitch FishSafe™ RHT propeller unit replaces a Francis runner. Initially Natel designed a Francis-style RHT for this project but then determined that a propeller RHT design would be more effective at reducing barotrauma risk. The project with the FishSafe™ propeller unit improves fish passage and produces no change in power output.
