We develop low-impact, sustainable hydropower plants to deliver reliable renewable energy, while restoring watershed function.
We acquire, revitalize, and retrofit operating hydropower plants and develop new projects with our proprietary fish-safe turbine and our innovative Restoration Hydro framework.
Hydropower is a cornerstone of a reliable renewable energy grid—so as the climate changes, modernizing hydro infrastructure is essential. By prioritizing watershed health alongside energy production, we provide hydropower solutions that benefit communities as well as natural ecosystems by adding power to existing non-powered hydro infrastructure and through new greenfield project development.
Our approach
Beginning with an initial feasibility assessment, we support project development from concept through operation. As owner-operators, we have first-hand knowledge of each phase of the development process.

Design
We complete site-specific plant designs for:
- Existing plants in need of functional or environmental upgrades
- Non-powered dam and weir retrofits
- Landowners with new, low-head hydro potential
- Corporate offtakers working to decarbonize operations

Development
We support:
- Permitting
- Planning and design
- Minimizing timelines & cost
- Prioritizing enhanced environmental outcomes

Financing
We align with markets to:
- Originate capital
- Negotiate offtake agreements
- Manage transactions
- Minimize risks

Sourcing & Construction
We support projects through:
- Turbine selection, manufacturing, and installation
- Plant design and construction
- Stakeholder engagement
- Turbine testing
- Grid connection

Operational Management
We maintain our fleet through:
- Remote monitoring
- On the ground inspections
- Continuous production optimization
- 24/7 remote support
